We arrived by car. It was very easy to find and parked just outside the stadium (half term and we were 6 hours early so we had time on the beach as weather was great!). All was great until we arrived to enter. Arrived at away supporters gate (other side of ground from new stands & basically a building site) an hour & half early along with all the Wolves official coaches and waited...and waited. Eventually 5 police arrived and chatted with us. By the time the stewards arrived exactly an hour to kick off there were 2000 fans in an orderly queue just standing there. When we were finally let into the stadium we were able to sit where we wanted and not in allocated seating.
The home supporters are all in proper stands (with covers and facilities) and we were in an open temporary stand with no feeling of care taken at all. there were only 3 ladies portacabin loos (twice as many for men) for instance and just one burger bar. The home supporters with the help of the roof and a guy with a drum were able to make a right noise and it was difficult to us with our open seating and feeling rather like being poor relations.
Dont sit on the front row as all folks going to the loo, filling up on burgers etc walk right past you and you cant see the action. Spoke to a steward who said they decided to build their new hotel rather than complete a proper stadium.
Left with feeling OK for home supporters but who cares about away supporters.
Disappointed with the ground but a reasonable match (and ref of course!).
