Travel Information to Layer Road
Directions by Car
Leave the A12 at Stanway (Signposted A1124), turn right at the roundabout, take the exit into London road (signposted Mersea/Stanway), at the mini roundabout go straight over and follow the road for approximately 1 mile until you come to a set of traffic lights. Turn right at the traffic lights into Straight Road and down the side of MFI. Follow Straight road right to the end and turn left at the mini roundabout and right at the next roundabout into Gosbecks Road. Go straight over the forst roundabout and left at the second roundabout you are now in Layer Road with the ground on the left hand side.
There are small car parks located around the ground all within a few hundred yards from the ground, a park & ride also operates from Sobroan Barracks. There is plenty of street parking. There is a retail park (Tolgate Retail Park) which has a huge car park but beware this is a good 30-40 minute walk from the ground.
The nearest Train station to Layer road is Colchester Town which is roughly a 10 minute walk from the ground. Don't get off at the man Colchester station as you'#ll be walking for a good 45-60 minutes.
