Ground Reviews
"Proper football ground"
An in form Shef Utd team against a poor Norwich team. The blades run out 1-0 winners in a close fought game. Parking is all street parking - possibly 1 of the only grounds i have seen where there are no 'unofficial' car parks. I have been to Bramell Lane a few times now. It is an impressive ground considering its location. There are plently on suitable pubs for away fans, although its probably advisable to avoid those nearer the ground. In the ground, there is a relatively spacious concourse compared to some grounds but services is slow for the usual refreshments at the usual football ground prices. Stewarding is a lottery, as on my first visit in 07/08 season they were aggressive & heavy handed on standing and ejected quite a few fans. However on this visit, I stood all game with no hassle from anyone. Due to the low roof on the stand a good sounding atmosphere can be created although the noise doesn't carry around the ground very well. Getting away from the ground can take some time due to traffic lights on the main roads to the motorway. Overall, Bramell Lane is a proper football ground not like the new soul-less bowls. Although the blades didn't make much noise on my two visits so far.

Parking
Around the ground it is street parking only, towards the city centre there are a few car parks about and the Meadowhall Shopping Centre which is free but it is a long walk to the ground.

With the stadium on your left, you'll approach the ground and hopefully the away end. Turn right and follow one of the streets opposite the ground, you should find some parking up one of those roads. Use the high street at the top of the hill to look for more parking. You'll then have about a 5 minute walk to the ground but free parking!
