It's a bit of a dive but has a wicked olde world feel about it. I really enjoyed it. Southend's not much to write home about but the ground is old school with plenty of character.

Directions by Car
From the M25 take Junction 29 and follow the A127 to Southend. Continue towards the town centre, through the lights near to the Bell Pub. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit and continue on the A127. Roots Hall is on the right just past the next set of traffic lights.
The nearest train station to Roots Hall is Prittlewell which is about a 5 minute walk from the ground. Southend Central is about a 25 minute walk to the ground.
