Travel Information to Vicarage Road
Directions by Car
Exit the M1 at Junction 5 and follow the A4008, signed Town Centre. Take the slip road by-passing a roundabout (again, signed 'Town Centre') and continue on the A4008. After passing under a railway arch take the second exit (straight on) at the next roundabout to approach traffic lights at the junction with the ring-road. Continue on the ringroad, getting in the left-hand lane to follow signs for West Watford (A4145) and Watford General Hospital. At the t-junction, turn left and immediately get in the right-hand lane to follow the road round into Fearnley Street (again, signed for West Watford and the hospital). Get in the left-hand lane, pass through traffic lights as your bear left and the ground is 200 yards up on your left, opposite the Red Lion pub.
Free parking with some exercise. If you are up for a 5 - 10 minute walk and are early enough then from the town centre, go past the stadium on Vicarage road, then past the hospital. At the junction go straight across and past the allotments on your right.
At the mini roundabout you can turn right or go straight on - both areas are residential but the locals use them for free parking on matchdays.
Be prepared for about a 10 or 15 min wait to get out of this area after the match as it does get busy.

The Watford General Hopital offers a lot of parking right next to the ground which is a pay & display and costs about £4. There are also plenty of independent car parks off of the ring road and a couple of big multi storey car parks on the ring road.
Nearest Mainline Station: Watford High Street (Watford Junction for fast services to and from London, and points north of Watford). Nearest Tube Station: Watford which is on the Metropolitan line.
